The Modern Stage Vs. The Vaudeville Stage
While the Fox was designed as a performance space and movie theatre originally, the modern needs of a performance venue are very different from those days. Originally, the Fox had footlights, and two “strip-lights” over the stage to illuminate the performers, and speakers were added in the auditorium to help with stereo movie presentations. The modern Fox will feature “state-of-the-art” lighting, sound and projection equipment. Many potential users of the theatre were asked what they needed to successfully use the theatre, and we have developed a plan utilizing the best possible equipment. Some of the new theatrical systems of the Fox include:
- Vortek motorized rigging system
- Line-array sound system
- Multiple lighting positions with robotic lighting
- Modern film projection equipment
