Begun as a companion to the restoration, this project has taken on a life of its own. Led by volunteer Bill Buehler, this project began as the videotaping of Fox memories from the first decade of the theatre’s history. It soon became apparent that there was a great deal of information in the community regarding the theatre. In fact, it now seems as if we are viewing the history of Tucson through the lens of the Fox Theatre. To date, Bill and his volunteers have interviewed and collected the stories of over 150 individuals. Plans call for the creation of an interactive database, book and video at the conclusion of the project. We are always looking for stories, artifacts and other items as they pertain to the Fox and the community. Please contact us if you can help.
